Work/Stringr
From Any Source to Every Screen
Stringr is a media technology platform built around sourcing, producing, and publishing video at scale — today spanning AI-generated video, media asset management, and an on-demand network of 160,000+ videographers who capture original footage for broadcasters, digital publishers, and advertisers on request.
I worked on Stringr as an enterprise client engagement while at 10Pearls, a digital engineering consultancy delivering complex media and fintech features for global clients. The core problem on Stringr's side was performance at the edge of a live video pipeline: footage arriving from videographers in the field needed to move through transcoding and out to broadcasters and publishers with minimal delay, at unpredictable volume.
I optimised the server configuration behind the platform's live transcoding infrastructure, reducing streaming latency and making the pipeline more resilient under load — directly improving how fast sourced video could reach a newsroom or publisher's screen. In parallel, I contributed to secure content-access and internationalisation features used across 10Pearls' other enterprise clients in the same period.
